Every product we cover goes through a systematic, three-stage process. We buy it, we use it, and we keep using it — long enough to find the things a first-impression review will never catch. The goal is simple: give you an honest opinion on whether something is worth your money.
We buy every product ourselves, the same way you would — no cherry-picked review units, no special treatment from brands. That means we experience the real delivery time, the real packaging, and the real out-of-box condition.
We note how the postage was handled, whether the packaging protected the product properly, and how straightforward the returns process looks if something isn't right. These details matter. A product that arrives damaged or takes three weeks to show up isn't a good buy, no matter how well it performs.
This is where we spend the most time. We use the product properly — in real conditions, for real tasks, over a period of days or weeks depending on the category. No lab-only tests, no single afternoon with a product before writing it up.
We document what works well, what falls short, and anything that surprised us. We look for the things that only show up with genuine use: awkward controls, battery life that doesn't match the claim, comfort that fades after an hour. If there's a fault, we'll find it and we'll tell you about it.
A lot of products feel great on day one. The real question is whether they still feel great on day thirty, day sixty, or six months in. Does the non-stick coating hold up? Do the earbuds still hold a charge? Does the sole wear down after fifty miles?
We revisit products after extended use and update our reviews when things change — for better or worse. If something doesn't pass the longevity test, we'll say so.
We have commercial partnerships with some retailers and brands, and we earn commission when you buy through certain links on our site. We're transparent about that.
But a partnership never influences a review. Our writers test and score products before any commercial consideration enters the picture. If a product from a partner isn't good enough, we'll say so — or we won't cover it at all.
