Review: Gilette ALL IN ONE beard and body hair trimmer
Lightweight and portable. Easily can be used to travel and does thhe job well.

I needed a new razor for myself. Not just any razor, but something that could handle the full spectrum of facial grooming without me having to faff about with multiple devices. The Gillette All In One Styler seemed to tick the boxes, so I picked one up and decided to put it through its paces properly.
Unboxing
I bought this from Boots and it arrived in a decent bit of packaging. Cost me around £50. The box contains the trimmer itself, three interchangeable comb attachments for different length settings, and a precision trimmer that slides out for detailed work. Fair bit of kit really.
Three size options might sound limited but I'm not fussy about precision lengths, so it works fine. The comb attachments give you 2mm, 4mm, and 6mm settings, which covers most of what you'd actually need for everyday trimming.
Here's what I genuinely appreciate: the power system. It runs on AAA batteries, which means no cables to faff with and no waiting around for a full charge cycle. The battery lasts a decent while too. The downside is you can't recharge the device itself, though if you've got a stash of rechargeable AAA batteries kicking around, you're sorted.
First Reactions
Straight out of the box, this isn't going to blow you away with sharpness. It's not razor sharp in the way some of my older trimmers are. That said, it gets the job done without tugging, which matters.
What I do like is how lightweight it is. Feels nice in hand, portable, won't fatigue your arm even if you're going over a longer beard. Good engineering on that front.
Now here's the thing nobody mentions: the hair. With most decent razors, there's some kind of capture system that stops the clippings going everywhere. This one doesn't have that. The hair flies. It genuinely scatters across the room like confetti. Using a towel doesn't really help either. The only sensible place to use this is in the shower or over a bath. You need water running to rinse everything down, and you need the enclosed space to contain the mess. Otherwise you're cleaning tiny hair clippings off your bathroom floor for days.
After a Month of Using
After four weeks of regular use, there's not much drama to report. It does the job well. The blades haven't dulled noticeably. The battery still holds up. The precision trimmer is useful for edging around the neck and cheekbones when you want to be tidy about it.
It's reliable. No weird vibrations. No unexpected shutdowns. It's just... consistent. Sometimes that's exactly what you want.
Summary
The Gillette All In One Styler is a solid piece of grooming kit that doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It's not the sharpest razor on the market, and it's got a hair management problem that forces you into the shower or bath. But for the price point around £50, it delivers on the basics.
If you're someone who wants one device that handles trimming, shaving, and detail work, and you're willing to do your grooming over a bath, this will work for you. The lightweight design is genuinely nice, the battery life is practical, and after a month in, it's still performing without any faffing about.
Just don't expect to tidy yourself up in the bedroom mirror without making a mess. Bathroom grooming only.
